Event: Grace Vanderwaal x Fender Ukulele
/I attended a launch event one beautiful summer day for the release of two ukuleles with Fender and singer-songwriter Grace VanderWaal. Grace Vanderwaal won Season 11 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent in 2016 at age 12 and created the Signature Ukulele and Moonlight Ukulele with a classic clean Fender tone and craftsmanship to inspire all musicians at different levels. Come explore the event and both ukuleles below.
Grace VanderWaal Signature Ukulele incorporates a stage-ready, Fishman® Kula preamp pickups, dark walnut exterior and custom deluxe gig bag. The Signature Ukulele reflects Grace’s boho-chic style and earthy tones that come from the sapele wood that makes up the body. Grace Vanderwaal selected each detail to adorn her Signature Ukulele: custom gold hardware and rosette, her signature Telecaster headstock and custom soundhole. All these features make this Signature Ukulele unique and rich sounding to support her soulful voice.
Grace VanderWaal Moonlight Ukulele is a a navy blue- colored version of the California Coast Series Venice Soprano. I imagine myself playing this navy blue ukulele on the beach or at home on Sundays. The Moonlight Ukulele has all the Signature features as well as a slim “C”-shaped neck profile that is comfortable to hold and easy to play. The pull-through bridge makes changing strings easy and more accessible to beginners.
The Grace VanderWaal Signature Ukulele and Grace VanderWaal Moonlight Ukulele give musicians at all experience levels to join her on a musical journey. For technical specs, additional information on new Fender products and to find a retail partner near you, visit www.fender.com.
