A 4-star family owned hotel, with a 5-star feel perfectly located in the town center… What more can I say about Hotel Prinsenhof? A lot! It’s a romantic hotel for a weekend getaway, stay with friends and family or even a solo trip to Belgium like I did. I had such a great experience at Hotel Prinsenhof and I can’t wait to share it with you all.
Hotel
After taking a quick 5-10 min taxi ride from the Bruges train station for (7-8euro), I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived at Hotel Prinsenhof.
Tips: Book directly with the hotel on their website for the best rates!
Picturesque view of the streets from the windows. I couldn’t stop taking photos!
Modern amenities meet traditional feel and hospitality. Super cosy and spacious with huge, comfortable beds.
On Hotel Prinsenhof’s website, a description reads: “Let yourself be carried away in the warm burrow of a bed made with silky-soft sheets, where you can enjoy a heavenly night’s sleep in an oasis of calm.” Yes, please. That sounds like a dream.
Coffee machine, tea, and hot chocolate in every room and a fully stocked minibar. How cute is the authentic traditional key holder?
I LOVED that there was both a rain shower and Jacuzzi. Look how big and clean this Jacuzzi is! I’m usually wary of tubs but it was extremely clean and the bubble/massage features worked well. It was an added bonus that I could fully stretch out in the tub (since I’m considered on the taller side). I also appreciated the heated warm towels on the heat rack, fluffy bathrobe, and slippers.
Location
Located conveniently in the heart of town, Hotel Prinsenhof is within walking distance of everything you need to do, see, and eat in Bruges. You can even book a Historic Bruges stay with Hotel Prinsenhof. There are lots of shops and restaurants closeby. Hotel Prinsenhof is just a 5 minute walk to the Market Square and 15 minutes to the Lake of Love.
Service
Family owned hotel, Mr. and Mrs. Lemahieu, effortlessly anticipates all your needs. It gives you a 5-star feel and service, if not more! The small dedicated team means that whenever you come back to the hotel, you’ll be treated by the same team, consistent service, and the most utmost respect and care. Little details like turn down service with chocolate and tomorrow’s weather forecast just made my stay exemplary.
Hotel Prinsenhof also provides huge umbrellas that sheltered me nicely from the rain.
Tip: If you have a special request, say a honeymoon, Hotel Prinsenhof is able to specially arrange the wishes for the guest. It’s amazing how much Hotel Prinsenhof cares about its guests!
Bonus tip: Hotel Prinsenhof provides a free English-speaking guided tour of Bruges on Monday to Friday which I really enjoyed.
Amenities
Hotel Prinsenhof also has a private car park in the back, a Mac computer for guests to use, and a shoe polishing station. At Hotel Prinsehof, every detail has been carefully thought out.
There’s also table full of information and postcards to send to loved ones.
Food
The breakfast buffet starts from 8:00-10:30am for 22 euro/person was absolutely worth it. I made my reservation for 8:30am and enjoyed a plethora of foods, including freshly made waffles and a glass of champagne. Hotel Prinsenhof takes #breakfastgoals to a whole different level. I mean, when in Belgium, one must eat waffles and treat yourself right?!
There’s a super cute Charlie Chaplin themed bar called “The Bowler” in Hotel Prinsenhof as well. Since I was only at Bruges for one night, I didn’t take advantage of the bar but definitely will next time I’m back.
It sounds amazing, doesn’t it? Make sure you book your stay at Hotel Prinsehof online now!
Post on: Why I chose Bruges for a getaway coming soon!
Thank you Hotel Prinsenhof for having me as a guest. My stay was sponsored by Hotel Prinsenhof but as always, all opinions are my own.
